Congressional Candidate Identified as a WASHINGTON, DC --Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.), Honorary Chairman of the House Conservatives Fund (HCF), the Political Action Committee for conservative members of the House, announced today that HCF is endorsing Martha Roby in her race for Alabama’s Second Congressional District. Along with the endorsement, Roby will receive a contribution for $5,000. “Martha is one of the most exciting conservative candidates in the country,” said McHenry. “With her commitment to limited government, lower taxes and a strong national defense, I am confident that in November, we will be welcoming Congresswoman Roby. I am excited to make an investment in her campaign.” “I am honored to have the support of the House Conservatives Fund," said Roby. “My conservative message of creating jobs, reining in wasteful spending, and stopping government-run health care is resonating. The people of Alabama’s Second District can count on me to always fight for conservative values.” Roby is among the first ten endorsements of HCF. Founded in 2005, HCF seeks to identify, recruit and support conservatives for election to Congress. Each candidate completed a detailed questionnaire and interviewed with McHenry. Rep.
