Former Congressional Candidate “Fighting Beau” McKinney Endorses Martha Roby(MONTGOMERY, AL) – Today, “Fighting Beau” McKinney, former Republican candidate in Alabama’s Second Congressional District, announced his endorsement of Martha Roby. McKinney, of Montgomery, is a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Iraq War, including two tours of duty during the intense battle for Fallujah. “I am so grateful for Beau’s support in my campaign,” said Martha Roby. “I respect Beau’s service to his country, and thank him for running a good campaign for the right reasons. I look forward to working with him in the coming weeks to advance the conservative principles we both believe in.” “I decided to run for Congress because we need the right changes in Washington and a return to Reagan conservative policies and values,” said McKinney. “When I returned from the war in Iraq, I quickly realized that the real conflict is in Washington. Martha believes as I do in reigning in our government and making Congress ‘the people’s House’ once again. I am proud to stand with her and support her in this fight.” McKinney will serve as a member of the Roby for Congress campaign’s Veterans Advisory Committee. |
