Martha Roby Announces Elmore County Leadership Team
(MONTGOMERY, AL) – The Martha Roby for Congress campaign announced today that Phyllis Kennedy and Gail Kendrick will serve as campaign co-chairs for Elmore County. The Roby for Congress campaign is building a strong grassroots team in every county in the district, and county chairs will serve as the focal point of the organization. “Elmore County is so vital to my campaign,” said Martha Roby. “That’s why I am glad I have two experienced and knowledgeable activists leading my team there. I am honored and thankful that both Phyllis and Gail have chosen to stand with me in my race.” “Martha is the right candidate for the job,” said Kennedy. “She has a mixture of the experience, judgment, and values we need in Congress. I know she will be fighting for us from day one.”
“We need someone who has experience fighting wasteful spending and higher taxes,” said Kendrick. “Martha has a proven conservative record, and we can count on her not only to talk the talk, but walk the walk. I am proud to support her.” Ms. Kennedy lives in Titus and served as Director of Industrial Relations under Gov. Bob Riley from 2003 to 2007. Prior to her work in the Riley Administration, she served as Alabama Director of the National Federation of Independent Business.
Ms. Kendrick lives in Wetumpka and is former chair of the Elmore County Republican Party. She currently is active in several community organizations. ###
