Martha Roby Earns the Endorsement of the Alabama Forestry Association

(MONTGOMERY, AL) –   This morning, the Alabama Forestry Association announced it is endorsing Martha Roby for Congress in Alabama’s Second Congressional District.

The Alabama Forestry Association represents the forestry community in Alabama, including forest products companies, wood suppliers, loggers, and landowners. The forest products industry is one of the most important in Alabama, generating more than $20 billion in economic impact each year.

“I am very excited to have earned the endorsement and support of the Alabama Forestry Association,” said Martha Roby, Republican nominee for Alabama’s Second Congressional District. “The forest industry is a vital part of the economy in the Second District and across Alabama, providing tens of thousands of jobs. In Washington I will fight to make sure it continues to thrive.”

“Martha Roby shares the priorities of the landowners and job creators who work in the forest industry,” said Chris Issacson, Executive Vice President at the Alabama Forestry Association. “She understands the central role forestry plays in the livelihood of more than 150,000 Alabama workers and 400,000 forest landowners. I know Martha Roby will fight for pro-business and free enterprise principles in Washington, and I urge others to join me in supporting her.”

Roby has previously been endorsed by a variety of organizations including Maggie’s List, Smart Girl Politics, Conservative Women of America, House Conservatives Fund, and Women Under Forty PAC. Roby has also been endorsed by conservative leaders such as Governor Mitt Romney, Governor Sarah Palin, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Congressman Terry Everett.
