Martha Roby Offers Clear Conservative Solutions at Montgomery Debate

(MONTGOMERY, AL) – Tonight, Martha Roby shined on the stage at Huntingdon College, offering serious conservative solutions at the Second Congressional District debate.

Answering a range of questions dealing with the oil spill, spending, health care, and a variety of other issues, Roby displayed a range and depth of knowledge and presented a positive, forward looking message.

“Washington is broken, and we need to send someone there with the right approach to fix it,” Roby said.  “I’ve been on the front lines battling tax increases, offering solutions to cut spending, and fighting illegal immigration.”

“I stand by my record of fighting for the taxpayer,” said Roby. “It’s important we elect someone we can trust to help break Washington’s addiction to wasteful spending. I’ve done it in Montgomery and will bring that same common sense approach with me to Congress.”

“Martha Roby is ready to take on Bobby Bright and lead our fight in Washington,” said Mike Hamilton, Roby’s campaign manager.  “She has clearly proven herself time and again as a candidate who offers clear-minded conservative solutions.”

“We are focused on the issues we hear about from voters all across this district,” said Hamilton. “Alabamians are concerned with creating good jobs, cutting wasteful spending, and securing our borders. Martha is talking about how she will fix those problems.”

The debate was sponsored by a variety of area Republican and Tea Party organizations, and Republican consultant Tim Howe served as the moderator.
