Martha Roby Releases First Television Ad

(MONTGOMERY, AL) – Today, the Martha Roby for Congress campaign released its first television ad, titled “Door.” The ad will run on broadcast stations in both the Montgomery and Dothan media markets.

“The Democrats in Washington have us on an unsustainable path,” said Martha Roby, Republican candidate for Alabama’s Second Congressional District.  “They are spending money we don’t have and placing the burden on our kids and grandkids. They are expanding government and have taken over health care. To make things worse they have done much of this behind closed doors, shutting out opposing views and not listening to the people.”
 
“I will go to Congress and work to increase transparency and accountability,” said Roby. “I have a proven record on the Montgomery City Council of fighting tax increases and standing up against wasteful spending, and I’ll do just that in Washington. However, my first vote will be to take the gavel away from Nancy Pelosi, so we can restore conservative leadership in Washington.”
